Taiwanese ebike maker BESV is known for making beautiful rigid-framed city bikes, and now they’re launching their first eMTB, the TRB.
It’s quite a leap for BESV to have built an eMTB, however, what they’ve come up with seems quite polished and very competitive. Powered by a Brose mid-drive motor, the TRB sports an impressive range due largely to its gigantic 21Ah (756Wh) 36V battery. It’s running on 27.5″ wheels and tires and sports a dropper seatpost and full suspension by Rockshox. The TRB offers 11-speeds on its rear cog (Shimano Deore XT) and Magura hydraulic disc brakes.
The TRB will be joined by two stablemates: the lower-end TRB1 with a 10-speed rear cog, and the TRX, which uses the Shimano STePS mid-drive system instead of the TRB’s Brose setup.
