Given that ebikes command higher values than many regular bicycles, ebike theft continues to be a cruel menace, and this report out of Seattle offers just another example.
According to BikeIndex and Seattle Bike Blog, a 2014 IZIP E3 Peak was stolen from a condo building’s garage a few days ago, so please be on the lookout for it. It was equipped with a cable lock which was cut and left at the scene by the bike thief.
Unfortunately, the owner of the bike doesn’t have the bike’s serial number, and having that number can be very helpful in identifying your bike once it’s been stolen. Let this bike owner’s folly help you to err on the side of caution and register all of your bikes right now on BikeIndex.org.
